ABOUT US
Our heritage of creating portraits of the most influential contributors to West Tennessee extends back to 1903, when Robert A. Moore began innovating with the art and science of photography. Through the years Devon Dooley and Mitch Carter each continued that tradition as a Jackson photographer. The portraits of these masters of photography have created a legacy for Jackson and West Tennessee families and preserved the story of our city, county and state.
THE EXHIBITION
That story is still being written by the leaders of West Tennessee in industry, commerce, arts, education, philathrophy, medicine, government, and the charitable work of non-profits and religious communities. Jason Hartig has an artistic vision to capture the legacy of these leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, educators, and civic-minded West Tennesseans.

“The Next 200 Years Exhibition captures the energy, spirit, and texture of Jackson, Madison County, and West Tennessee”
BUILDING OUR FUTURE
West Tennessee is taking its place of prominence in our state. The diligence of so many individuals creates opportunities for all of us. The Next 200 Years Exhibition honors the men and women who are making our community such a fantastic place to live.
WHO IS INCLUDED IN THE EXHIBITION?
COMMUNITY
Civic organizations, non-profits, and religious communities demonstrate the very best of our people’s values. Feeding the hungry, aiding the hurting, protecting the vulnerable, and inspiring all of us to be people who embody the golden rule.
THE ARTS
The arts enrich a community in so many ways. The talent, dedication, and creativity of our musicians, artists, actors, and those who direct them make us better. They show us the heights to which our souls can ascend and give us the means to express what otherwise feels ineffable.
CIVIC LEADERSHIP
Jackson has a long civic history and our public servants forge a social bond that ensures our communities continue to grow stronger, safer, more prosperous, and free. We honor those who serve well in our midst.
BUSINESS AND LEADERSHIP
Amazing leaders have taken the helm of many industries; intrepid entrepreneurs create new businesses, and the business organizations that support them provide training for continuing growth.
CAPTURING THE STORY OF A CITY
The story of a city isn’t written in its geography or even in its buildings; it is written in the spirits of its citizens. The zeal, energy, creativity, and life of those who live, work, play, learn, and grow there writes the story of a community. The Next 200 Years Exhibition highlights the spirit of West Tennessee
REMEMBERING OUR HERITAGE
Our recent exhibit at the Ned highligthed the historical images Moore Studio has captured of our cities’ leaders, judges, brides, families, and notable citizens. These images of our past remind us from where we have come. Moore Studio is proud to be a part of this heritage.
PLANNING OUR LEGACY
Time won’t stand still. Our community is continuing to grow, prosper, develop, and improve. The Next 200 Years honors those in our city who are working to fulfill it’s promise.

04. The Viewing
Once the final edits are done, we will have a session to review your images and select images that will be candidates for the exhibition. I want you to have input into this process and select images you will be most proud to display. We may select a single final image or a collection of images from which I will select the most appropriate one with considerations of the entire exhibition.
05. The Exhibition
Our plan for the exhibition is to have reception for the community to view the images and for you and you friends and family to come and enjoy viewing the images. We plan to have a standing display for several weeks and then have a rotating display at various businesses and locations around the city.
